In order to achieve the optimal position in those countries and to systematically expand market share within the region, KRAIBURG TPE is now expanding its direct sales and marketing activities into Central and South America. Since July, 2010 a new Spanish version of the KRAIBURG TPE website has been made available to inform a broader range of both current and future customers. It was in March of 2010 that this KRAIBURG TPE started to increase the number of languages for the company website, augmenting German and English by adding standard Mandarin - China’s official language. With the launch of the Spanish version, KRAIBURG TPE continues to solidify its global services and support by providing customers in Latin America improved access to information about their products and services. At the same time, the firm is also increasing its advertising activities to provide increased visibility for sales partners and potential customers in the region. Logistics services including warehousing and shipping are also being further optimized to be consistent with the company’s global business strategy and philosophy of providing “Custom-Engineered TPE and More”.

The improved logistics infrastructure means that customers located in Central and South America can benefit from faster, more reliable product deliveries from the KRAIBURG TPE production site in Duluth, Georgia. With this change, custom-formulated TPE compounds developed and manufactured at the company’s headquarter facility in the Bavarian town of Waldkraiburg can now reach overseas destinations in the shortest possible time. Included among these is the “THERMOLAST® M” product group, introduced to the market in 2009, and targeted specifically at customers in the pharmaceuticals and medical technology sectors. A dedicated production line, reserved exclusively for the production of medical-quality feed-stocks, guarantees quality and purity for the five different series of THERMOLAST® M compounds, right up through to the liability risk level associated with indirect contact with blood. Targeted in large part for automotive industry use is the high-performance TPE HIPEX® line which is resistant to both high temperatures and potentially damaging media such as aggressive chemicals, oils and greases. “With the geographic reach and support infrastructure in place, we are now able to offer Latin American companies our specialty TPE compounds which conform to the same high quality standards as available throughout Europe, Asia and the U.S.A,” explained Jeff Frankish, Managing Director for the Americas. “We are ideally positioned to leverage TPE growth opportunities in the emerging markets of Central and South America and to further expand our business into those regions over the long term.”
