The founders’ families, the company owners, managing directors and employees of the KRAIBURG Group mourn the passing of their highly esteemed shareholder Peter Schmidt. From 1954 to 1999 he participated actively in the company’s operations and as a member of the management board he implemented numerous decisions that shaped the company’s history.
In 1999 Peter Schmidt retired as an active member of the company and – like his younger brother and co-shareholder Fritz – entrusted his responsibilities at KRAIBURG Holding to his daughter Daniela Schmidt-Kuttner, his nephew Fritz Schmidt and Ralph Westhoff. The company owners of the next generation took over the responsibilities in the individual KRAIBURG divisions.
Throughout his life Peter Schmidt was regarded by the management and the entire staff as a role model in both business and private matters. His charisma extended well beyond the professional realm.
Peter Schmidt died in early February, a few weeks after his 85th birthday, at home in the circle of his family. In Waldkraiburg and at the numerous other KRAIBURG locations he will be remembered always as a generous patron of art, culture and sports.
