KRAIBURG TPE has extensive experience in the development of TPEs with halogen-free flame retardant properties.

A product series with a V-0 nonflammability classification at wall thicknesses of 1.5mm in accordance with UL standard 94 V-0 has recently been introduced for multi-component applications with polypropylene. A further series with V-0 classification at 3mm has been a successful part of the product line.

FLAME RETARDANT TPE - UL94 V0 (3.0 MM) CERTIFIED

The FR1 series is your material solution for applications with flame retardant requirements. The compounds are UL94 V0 (3.0 mm) certified and halogen-free according to IEC 61249-2-21. They are available in black and natural colors. Natural color variants can be colored in many different ways.

Processing Method: Injection Molding, Extrusion
Color / RAL DESIGN: Natural, Black

The FR2 series is your material solution for applications with flame retardant requirements for low wall thicknesses. The compounds are UL94 V-0 (1.5 mm) certified and halogen-free according to IEC 61249-2-21. They are available in black and natural colors. Natural color variants can be colored in many different ways.

Color / RAL DESIGN: Natural, Black

KRAIBURG TPE offers solely halogen-free, flame retardant TPEs which fulfil highest fire protection standards such as UL94V0 and GWFI. We can offer those TPEs with all-color listings according to UL94V0. Moreover our FR2 series is certified according to EN45545 R22/R23 HL3.

Therefore, it meets the highest requirements with respect to smoke density, toxicity and limited oxygen index to be used in train applications. Another general advantage of our halogen-free TPEs is that they don’t require special waste treatment and can be recycled.
